North Florida Workforce Career Center grand opening : A new satellite office of the North Florida Workforce Career Center opened its doors to the public Tuesday, Sept. 8 in Live Oak. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Thursday, Sept. 10 at the facility, located at 815 N Ohio Avenue, the former FDLE Building. Artfest 2009 : Over 200 guests arrived at the opening of the 2009 Autumn Artfest at the Suwannee River Regional Library on Sunday, Sept. 13. This marks the 13th annual art show hosted by the Live Oak Artists Guild. Art winners were recognized and awards were handed out to highlight the event. The art show will run until Friday, Sept. 25. FFA Raising shrimp : Suwanneee High FFA students with instructors De Broughton, Travis Tuten, and volunteer Don Boyette spent time Sept. 1 trudging through mud to retrieve shrimp from a pond at the Suwannee High Agricultural Farm.
